"My fall semester in Budapest was one of the best times of my life. It was so good to be in a place uncomfortable yet safe, culturally rich yet affordable. When you combine that place with a program full of academic rigor and peers eager to embrace challenge, you get AIT."

"At AIT, I was allowed to take diverse courses, immerse myself in Hungary’s technology environment, and learn from all my peers, and professors, which gave me a study abroad experience that exceeded my expectations. Studying computer science abroad at AIT not only increased my coding, problem-solving, and design skills, but it allowed me to become more culturally aware increasing my desire to compassionately serve, and to reach out to the world as I continue my computer science journey."

"A lot of people boast that they had the best study abroad experience, but I truly believe that AIT is, without a doubt, the most amazing program any person could go on. Not only are the professors and staff genuinely interested in your intellectual and personal growth, but you are also surrounded by people who are just as passionate as you are about technological and entrepreneurial innovation."

"From the sheer magic of Budapest to the incredibly warm and attentive staff, my five months in Hungary were a period of amazing personal and academic growth. Being able to take upper level CS courses in addition to Hungarian culture classes was a huge plus, made even better by the remarkable professors I learned from, and by the brilliant students who became my friends. Choosing to study abroad at AIT has definitely been one of the highlights of my college career."

"AIT is an academy for innovation: in fields from industrial design to programming to business, we learned skills to take our ideas from conception to production. If you are a technical student looking for a compelling study abroad program in a spectacular location, AIT will satisfy you; but if you are a technical student looking to build a business and a life as a pioneer, then AIT is perfectly tailored for you."

"AIT-Budapest was honestly one of the most amazing experiences I have had in college thus far. From spending time learning from some of the best Hungarian professors with fellow Computer Science students in AIT’s beautiful facility during the week to exploring Budapest’s cuisine, social scene, and historical monuments on the weekends, the entire semester felt like a dream. On top of that, Hungary’s centrality with respect to Europe allowed for travel to neighbouring European countries in and out of the Schengen zone, a privilege which gave me the opportunity to not only see what Hungary had to offer, but also the surrounding area as well. Overall, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I would absolutely recommend to any college student looking for a unique and unforgettable semester."

"Deciding to study abroad in Budapest at AIT is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Budapest is beautiful city that also has something new for you to find. The AIT program complimented my liberal arts education by offering classes I would not have been able to take otherwise, including the Design Workshop and Android Application Development. The program also allowed for a lot of independence while abroad. Instead of feeling like a student going to school in Budapest, I felt like an adult who lived in Budapest and sometimes went to school. I cannot emphasize enough how thankful I am to have done this program."

"Spending the semester abroad with AIT was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The staff at AIT are all wonderful. The AIT building is modern, clean, and cozy. Not to mention, Hungary is the perfect country to serve as home base for traveling to the rest of Europe - everywhere is accessible and cheap, and at the end of the day I was always excited to return to Budapest. I have made life-long friends in Budapest because of AIT, and I'm so grateful for my semester abroad. To potential applicants - AIT will provide you with a home away from home, and the chance to forge special memories that you will never forget. If I could, I would absolutely do it all over again."

"Studying at AIT-Budapest immersed me in Hungary's fascinating culture and allowed me to befriend and collaborate with dozens of dedicated, passionate students from all over the world. AIT staff and professors were fantastic, the classes were engaging, and the program afforded me the rare opportunity to travel throughout Eastern Europe. I feel truly fortunate to have studied abroad at AIT and I strongly recommend the program."

"Studying abroad at AIT is the highlight of my college experience. The city itself is a magnificent place to call home. I loved exploring the streets of Budapest and seeing how the city lights up for its famous nightlife. Budapest’s location makes weekend travels throughout Europe super easy and affordable! The AIT community is small and close-knit. The friendships I’ve made there are for forever."

"Living in Hungary and being a student at AIT were among the most impactful experiences for my personal and career growth in college. "In one word, my experience at AIT was life-changing. The program coordinators and the professors made my time in Hungary truly amazing. I learned so much in my time there. The Mobile Development course helped me learn how to make my first app and helped me get an internship! The Data Structures and Algorithms course helps in even in my day-to-day now as a Software Engineer! However, my biggest goal was to be able to learn and use Hungarian. I took the Hungarian course and by the end of my time there was able to navigate cafes and restaurants only in Hungarian. Funny enough, my summer internship that year had a big Budapest branch and I was able to talk to them a bit in Hungarian which they were thrilled by! AIT is just wonderful. I only wish I could do it all over again!"

"For me, AIT was an opportunity to grow. I was able to immerse myself in a new culture and experience life in a different country. The program allowed me to take classes I was excited about while having the freedom to explore life outside of school. The professors were engaging and personable. Each staff member was genuine and cared about making my experience as full as possible. In addition to that, I was able to meet some of the coolest people in the program. This was one of the most memorable semesters I've ever had."

"AIT added another dimension to my college experience. Living in Budapest for a semester gave me the opportunity to discover what life is like on the other side of the world. The classes offered at AIT were both novel and informative, taught by some of the most dedicated professors I’ve ever met. The students were truly the heart and soul of the program, and I’m grateful for getting the chance to make lasting connections with them."

"From the best accommodations to having delicious Hungarian dishes to high caliber classmates to fabulous staff to enthusiast professors teaching grand classes to being located in my favorite city in Europe, AIT-Budapest has my highest recommendation of all time. "Studying at AIT gave me an opportunity to take innovative courses that focused on teaching skills and providing experience relevant to the actual state of professional software engineering. Our projects resembled what we would actually be doing at work, something that is not readily available in the traditional world of academia. Most of my professors at AIT actually came from industry and not only taught us useful material but were also able to provide us personal advice and guidance in career planning. At AIT I discovered the fascinating world of Computational Graphics and it became my cornerstone to pursue career as a VR developer."

"Studying abroad in Hungary was one of the best decisions in my life. I love the city and its vibrant culture, and cherish my relationships with the professors, staffs and friends, many of whom are lifelong friends and people I look up to. If I had one word to describe my experience on the AIT program, it would be impactful."

"2020 Spring semester has been a wild ride for everyone. Mine included fleeing from Hungary back to the US within 20 hours. The night before I left, I was at the karaoke night at the pub in Budapest, having fun with all the lovely AIT friends. Little did I know that it would be the last time I could see most of them, and I would be booking a flight leaving in 20 hours back to the states after I got home. I had a lot of hopes and dreams for this semester. It’s not the most common thing for seniors in their last semester to study abroad, and I put in a good amount of effort to make this happen. I was looking forward to making great friends, traveling around Europe, learning about new cultures, expanding my horizons and growing as a person. The two months that I did spend in Europe were an absolute blast, and I will cherish those memories forever. I loved everyone I met at AIT and every minute we spent together. Thank you all for being so awesome! For sure I’m very disappointed that the semester was cut short, but in a way this once in a lifetime experience also taught me valuable lessons that I will carry with me."

"Studying at AIT was a wonderful challenge. It was a new experience to balance coursework, exploring a new city, and traveling at the same time, but the challenging aspects made it more rewarding. The faculty and staff were a particular highlight as they customise and care about each student’s experience and work continuously to build the AIT community. Budapest has history, museums, food, and coffee and tea houses to keep you busy all semester, and as well as easily allowing weekend trips to other Central European countries."

"Even though I was with AIT-Budapest during Spring 2020 and our semester was cut short due to COVID-19, that semester was still the best semester I've had in my college career, absolutely surpassing my expectations. Not only did I get to live in the gorgeous city of Budapest, right at the city center, but I also got to study exciting practical Computer Science taught classes by engaging and helpful professors. The coursework is enough to keep you engaged and motivated, but light enough to still allow you to explore Europe most weekends. The staff are incredibly helpful, generous, genuine people and will become some of your best friends at Budapest. The cherry on top is all the amazing classmates you get to meet from all over the world!"

Make countless memories and reasons to smile!"

"This program has changed my life in more ways than one: I've made lifelong friends, gained independence, and explored areas in Europe I never would have gone otherwise. "My semester at AIT in Budapest was the best study abroad experience I could have imagined. The city is absolutely magical: the fascinating history, gorgeous architecture, amazingly convenient transport system and the thermal baths were a few of the highlights which ended up making Budapest my favorite city. AIT did a fantastic job of facilitating the entire experience. My classes were engaging and allowed me to learn about broad areas of computer science while still having time to take in the cultural side of study abroad by exploring the city and traveling. The AIT community made the experience special; its small size makes the program feel really close-knit, and the AIT staff are really going out of their way to try to make sure everyone has a great experience. I can't recommend this program highly enough."

"AIT was the best I could have wished for in a study abroad program.  The curriculum options and excellent professors led to an academic experience that I could never have had at my home institution.  The staff was friendly, incredibly helpful, and generally made Budapest feel like a home away from home.  I was able to take great classes, explore a different culture, and play water polo again thanks to AIT."

"The AIT program is a perfect experience for anyone who's passionate about languages, culture and technology. I had such a blast exploring the beautiful city of Budapest with all her historical architecture and delicious cuisines, while taking on projects and classes I'm truly excited about. But of course, it's the people I met from the program, from my dance classes, from my weekend getaway trips, that made this an indelible memory in my college years."

"AIT-Budapest surpassed all my expectations. The staff of AIT are incredibly amazing. I always felt like I could go to them if I had any questions or needed help with anything from advice on places to visit and how to cook a certain Hungarian food to how to make an appointment in Hungary and they always greeted me with warmth. The students also helped to make the programme a great experience. I'm not sure if it was luck or that AIT just does a great job at choosing its participants. The professors were also really helpful and usually willing to stay after classes to answer questions. The city of Budapest is beautiful with so much to see and do. I recommend exploring it as much as possible and eat as much Hungarian food as you can. Better yet, try to make some of those foods. In short, AIT-Budapest is a great choice which I don't regret!"

Living on my own, taking care of myself and taking classes that I’ve always wanted to helped me learn so much about myself and about adult life. "AIT-Budapest is the ideal place to study abroad. Living in Central Europe, I had a fantastic opportunity to not only immerse myself in the unique culture but also travel across Europe (at low prices). Furthermore, the staff, professors, and fellow classmates are all helpful, excellent, and collaborative creating an inspiring environment to learn. The program offers a mix between fun and travel with school and projects providing you with the autonomy to find the balance that you want from studying abroad. AIT is a truly worthwhile experience."
